Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for something (it doesn’t have to be marketing- but we do hope you find joy in your work!) and a desire to learn and grow. As a Marketing Assistant, you will support the team in executing marketing campaigns from writing to design (Canva is our bff), managing client accounts, and contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns.

- Create and manage content for social media platforms, websites, and email campaigns.

- Write and revise copy to be used across different campaigns and platforms.

- Coordinate and manage marketing events, including promotions and launches.

- Support the creation of marketing materials such as ebooks, presentations, and landing pages.

- Schedule content to be published across social media sites.

- Maintain and update project management and communication systems.

- Assist in tracking and reporting on marketing campaign performance.

- Provide administrative support to the marketing team as needed.

- Work across multiple client accounts, ensuring a high level of service and attention to detail.

What this actually looks like:

- The team checks in via Slack and uses this as our primary form of communication

- We have weekly meetings via Zoom (sometimes we meet to check in and co-work too)

- The bulk of your time and attention is spent working on our (awesome) client’s social media content 

- You pull ideas from videos to create graphics and carousels, chop up videos using our easy-to-use software (we’ll show ya how) to make simple reels, add subtitles, write captions, and pop it all inside of our project management software
- Sometimes clients have ideas and you give them the thumbs up (or you and I chat and I kindly deliver a thumbs down)

- When you’re feeling stuck or confused you reach out and ask for support 

- Once a week-ish you spend time scheduling content 

- Once a month-ish you spend time pulling reports so we can show our clients how their content performed 

Requirements:

- Interest in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Maybe you have a degree, maybe not.

- Experience in marketing, internships, or related roles/hobbies. 

- Strong written and verbal communication skills (for both the work we do and for communicating with the team) and a willingness to learn and receive feedback.

- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, really- bonus points for Sheets).

- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.

- Solid organizational and multitasking skills.

- A blend of creative thinking and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Basic graphic design skills (we’re #teamcanva)

- Commitment to asking for help/clarity when you need it.
